Premiere: Shur-I-Kan – Out at Night (Freerange Records)

Over the years Shur-I-Kan has released on Tsuba, Lazy Days and his own Dark Energy, but his association with British deep house stalwart imprint Freerange dates right back to 2000 when he remixed Audiomontage’s “Flyin’ High”.His two LP’s and more than ten EP’s came out on the label since then – now Tom Szirtes returns with a fresh and modern three-tracker “State of Emergency”.

In the premiere today is the second track from the EP “Out at Night” – deep and warm piece of signature Shur-I-Kan’s production. Simple uplifting chord stabs bring a touch of tropical warmth to proceedings, a deep bassline and crisp, rolling drums providing the one-two punch.
