We already had a premiere from What Came First, a label set up by the people behind London’s world famous club venue EGG London, time has come to present another piece of tech house forthcoming on this imprint. What Came First is an extension of the venue and a platform to showcase its music policy, and first instalment of “VA” compilation series is featuring music from people with close links to the club.
Madison & Gaudier are two German producers from Rostock and Hamburg respectively. Three years ago they put together a four-tracker vinyl EP for Tach & Nacht, and this time contributed a tech house track to What Came First. They stayed true to their style: darker, synthetic, slower tech house with pitched down (and fairly common) male spoken vox. The degree of severity decreases when the vocal start chanting: “Discofire, discofire keeps me up and makes me higher”.
Let this be piece of a widespread these days tech-house, this track has its certain charm.
