Paolo Martini is an experienced house music producer whose career spans over 30 years. Back then he used to work with his long-time friend and colleague Gianni Bini as Bini & Martini – together they released a lot of notable soulful house tracks, and worked with the most influential house labels of the time such as Defected, AM:PM, Strictly Rhythm, Emi, Peppermint Jam, Universal, Azuli, Z Records and Nervous. Since 2008 Paolo runs his own imprint Paul’s Boutique and contributes music to other labels. One of them is Flashmob Records.
“Shoulda Left Ya” that’s coming out soon on Flashmob Records is a piece of good house music. It’s bass hook sends us to Joey Negro’s club version of Sessomatto’s “I Need Somebody”, the track, that Bini & Martini remixed back in 2003. Recitative and percussion pattern gives it a hip-house feel, while other elements refer to classic house mood.
