Today’s premiere is a track from the fifth release of a new house and techno label What Came First launched by the people behind the infamous EGG London club venue. It’s a production by Ibiza native Manu Gonzalez, who has been regularly playing in Space, Pacha and Privilege for the past years. Releases on Natural Rhythm, Isgud Records, Cr2 Records, and Hot Since 82’s label Knee Deep In Sound brought him attention from BBC Radio 1’s influential persons Annie Mac and Pete Tong.
“Last Call” is a third track from Manu’s “Ou One” EP and you can easily feel the sunny and relaxing atmosphere of Ibiza in it. That’s a deeper house production with a looped live percussion and groovy bassline which are accompanied by moody pads and quirky melodic lines as well as spoken vocals that sound like samples from some movie.
